Who is Craftsman?

Craftsman power tools have become one of the most trusted and dependable power tools in the industry today.

You will probably find a Craftsman tool in almost every garage or workshop in the United States.

Some highlights in the history of this tool line.

Sears has sold its top-of-the-line hand tools under the "Craftsman" name since 1927.
In 1966 Sears debuts a quick-release ratchet wrench that quickly becomes one of the most popular wrenches in the hand tool industry
In 1976 Western Forge ships its 100 millionth Craftsman screwdriver.
In 1997 Sears launches its e-commerce site, sears.com, offering more than 3,500 Craftsman tools.
In 2002 Craftsman celebrates its 75th anniversary with a catalog that features more than 4,000 items, including 739 new products.

The Craftsman Warranty:

One of the big selling points of the craftsman power tool line is their unconditional lifetime warranty.

This warranty states that any tool carrying the Craftsman name may be replaced at any time if it fails.

According to Craftsman, the Tool Warranty means, "They are guaranteed forever, unconditionally, no questions asked".

Many of the Craftsman hand tools come with this replacement warranty.

Most of their hand tools are covered, although there are exclusions. Craftsman Cordless Drill

Notable exclusions are bench tools, battery operated and electric tools, as well as precision measuring tools.

Call your local Sears store to determine Craftsman tool warranty coverage for your particular case.

There doesn't seem to be a power tool company out there that carries the rock solid warranty that Craftsman does.
