The two most important questions always are...what is your budget and what are your needs.
Now don't forget I said what are your needs...not your wants.
We all know what our wants are...but sometimes that seems to be irrelevant, especially if we are answering to a higher power...if you know what I mean.
This workshop power tool has so many uses that there are just to many to name.
Whatever type of workshop you have, metal or wood, keep in mind that Craftsman makes metal band saws as well as wood band saws.

Until you use each Craftsman band saw side by side with another how do you compare?
You can go to the Craftsman website and read some of the reviews for the pros and cons of each unit and see what some users recommend.
I think the best way to make a decision is to compare the specifications and features above, determine what your workshop needs are, settle on a budget price and go from there.
Craftsman has yet to fail me over the years and I don't believe they are going to start now.
They have always honored their gaurantee, were able to supply me with any needed parts and have provided me with relliable and affordable power tools.
Those main reasons, along with many others, have always kept me coming back to the Craftsman name.
